Introducing FASTER

Through the FASTER Lab programme, we help unlock the potential of talented athletes through individual development supported by objective measurement.

In every area of life, it is essential to make the best possible decision as quickly as possible. This is also true in sport, whether in team or individual disciplines. A tennis player must decide in an instant where to hit the ball, in which direction, with how much power and with what technique. In football, handball or basketball, players must constantly make good decisions during training sessions and matches, often in tight spaces, under pressure and within very limited time.

FASTER Lab was established in 2022 to help amateur and elite athletes develop at a dynamic pace and push their limits through individual training sessions, using innovative tools that have already proved their value at leading Western European clubs.

Our philosophy:

“Set goals, dream big and work hard every day to achieve them.”

What does FASTER stand for?

first touch

In sports such as football, handball, basketball and water polo, the first touch is one of the most important elements. It should create a strong foundation for the next action.

Fast changes of direction, efficient movement and the ability to react to changing situations are essential in sport.

Do it fast. Do it faster.

The task should always be solved in the shortest possible time.

Play with emotion, express yourself and bring energy to every action.

Perceive quickly, decide quickly and execute quickly.

During our first two years of operation we received a great deal of positive feedback from children, parents, coaches, sports managers. Their experience confirmed that our method is not only personalised, but also unique and effective in helping athletes achieve their goals.

Zsolt Babics

Professional background

I have dedicated my entire life to sport and soccer. In addition to actively playing sports, I have been coaching youth players for several years and hold a UEFA C qualification.
Over the years, I have continuously observed, experienced and recognized what children need in order to develop. As a result, I began offering individual training for younger players. My goal is to develop well-rounded talents who can become the athletes of the future.
I have been working as a coach at Faster Lab for two years. I have used the equipment in the lab from the beginning, and based on my own experience as well as feedback from clubs and parents, I have seen how effectively our different tools develop children’s cognitive skills, reaction ability and technical execution.

“A child’s individual talent and personality must be taken into account if we want them to become a soccer player. In a team training session there are many players, so there is limited opportunity for truly individual development. What we do not have time to practice in team training, we work on here: we develop the skills and knowledge that are needed.”
“Precisely because every child is different, I run individual training sessions, usually working with a maximum of three or four players at a time. I group them carefully so they can support each other’s development, train at a similar level and work toward similar goals. I also like to use specific tools that develop thinking, perception, reaction, agility, strength, dynamics and speed. We have excellent technical equipment for this, which helps both the player and me as a coach. For example, we also use exercises where players perform ball-technical tasks while I ask them questions or engage them in conversation, forcing them to focus on more than one thing at the same time. This immediately shows whether they can concentrate on several tasks at once. It is important for players to control the ball with such confidence that they can, for example, look in another direction or communicate information to a teammate. All of this can be achieved through consistent practice.”

Professional background

Thanks to my parents, I have loved soccer from a very young age. While I was still an active player, it felt almost natural for me to get a taste of coaching as well. I initially worked as a coach with local youth teams, then as a professional and technical manager, before receiving an invitation from FC DAC 1904 Dunaszerdahely in recognition of my work. I first worked with the U6-U7 youth teams, then the U8 age group, later the U9 team and, as an assistant coach, the U13 team. Alongside the experience I have gained over the years, I have always looked for opportunities to continue learning, because there is always something new to study if you want to be the best you can be. My teaching background is also highly useful in my coaching work. In addition to my teaching experience and coaching background, I hold a UEFA B license and have completed several other courses, including Coerver Course 1-2-3 and Smartfootball Level 1. During my career, I have also had the opportunity to gain insight into the operations of several world-class academies.
At FASTER, I can combine my experience as a teacher and coach with innovative tools designed for individual development. Whether working with children or adults, we can achieve spectacular, objectively measurable individual progress through structured analysis. My goal is to develop each individual through well-structured, motivating and enjoyable training sessions.

Simon Csordás

Professional background

Simon Csordás is a 30-year-old professional manager and coach. As a soccer player, I had the opportunity to play in the first division abroad as well as in Hungary’s top national league. I have worked with coaches from whom I learned a great deal in many different ways. I have trained under experts with extensive knowledge and experience through the MLSZ Grassroots C, UEFA B and UEFA A courses. For athletes with an open mindset, the continuous development of cognitive ability in a sport-specific environment is essential. In soccer, for example, players face constant decision-making situations where they must use the right technique to get the ball into the best possible position as quickly as possible. How can a player become the fastest? By learning to solve game situations subconsciously.
Learn - teach - enjoy.
